Prometheus Nominees for 2000

Nominations are now underway for the LFS’s next Prometheus Awards and Prometheus Hall of Fame, which will be presented at the 2000 Worldcon. Any LFS member may nominate science fiction and fantasy works for either award; the Prometheus Award category is limited to novels, but the Hall of Fame is open to novels, novellas and short stories.

Please nominate works as soon as you can, so that both judging committees can do their work judiciously and complete their choice of the finalists in each category in a timely fashion. Please send nominations to Michael Grossberg at 3164 Plymouth Place, Columbus, OH 43213, or

mikegrossb@aol.com

Once both judging committees have chosen the finalists, all LFS members will vote next spring for the Hall of Fame winner, while all LFS Advisory members will vote next spring for the Prometheus Award winner.

Michael Grossberg is chairing the LFS Prometheus Award Finalist Judging Committee, whose members include Lowell Berman, Tod Casasent, Steve Gaalema, Matt Gaylor, Lynn Maners, Bruce Sommer, Adam Starchild, William Stoddard, and Fran Van Cleave.

A few spaces are still available on the LFS Hall of Fame Finalist Judging Committee. To volunteer, contact Victoria Varga at vvarga@compuserve.com
