Ellison won the Prometheus Hall of Fame Award in 2015 for his short story, “‘Repent, Harlequin!’ Said the Ticktockman.” He made a gracious video to thank us.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n


\nThe Los Angeles Times has posted a long obit.<\/a>\u00a0And John Scalzi wrote a nice piece for the same paper.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

Ellison was known within the sf community for his iconoclastic and rebellious attitudes, which ties in well with the anti-authoritarian spirit of libertarianism and the classical liberal and anarchist political philosophies that modern libertarianism draws so much from.<\/p>\n
