Among the women are a virginal prostitute with sexual telepathic abilities and a beautiful lady gambler with intriguing skills beyond her day job as an accountant. And Koman pulls it off beautifully. It is a parody that can hold its own with Chandler\u2019s originals and with the best of his followers&#8230;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Riggenback also praised the novel as a mystery:<br \/>\n\u201cSuffice it to say that Koman manages to surprise and entertain in all the ways you would expect from a science-fiction thriller, while at the same time working in an amazing amount of learned speculation on such questions as what the idea of God really means and what it would mean in practical terms to attempt his assassination.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Praised by Prometheus Hall of Fame winner <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lfs.org\/blog\/censorship-book-burning-literature-history-memory-freedom-identity-individualism-and-rebellion-an-appreciation-of-ray-bradburys-fahrenheit-451-a-1984-co-winner-of-the-prometheus-hall\/\">Ray Bradbury<\/a> as \u201ca fascinating concept, imaginatively delivered\u201d and by\u00a0<i>Illuminatus!\u00a0<\/i>co-author Robert Anton Wilson as a suspense tale that \u201cexplodes like a string of firecrackers,\u201d the provocative novel achieves a level of irreverence that may challenge the assumptions of some religious believers.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps sf\/fantasy author Piers Anthony put it best: \u201c<em>The Jehovah Contract <\/em>will surely be excoriated in religious and literary circles, but this damnation of God should be pondered objectively by both believers and nonbelievers.
